مع انتهاء فترة التقديم للمشاركة 939 طلب مشاركة في الدورة الرابعة من “جائزة الشيخ سلطان لطاقات الشباب”

أعلنت “جائزة الشيخ سلطان لطاقات الشباب” عن استقبال 939 طلباً للمشاركة في دورتها الرابعة 2024، مستقطبةً مشاركات من المواهب الشغوفة في كل أرجاء دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، وكانت الجائزة قد أغلقت باب استقبال طلبات المشاركة في 1 مايو الماضي، تمهيداً لبدء مرحلة تقييم المشاركات بناءً على معايير الجائزة وشروطها.
وتًعَدُّ “جائزة الشيخ سلطان لطاقات الشباب” الأولى من نوعها في العالم العربي من حيث أثرها الاجتماعي والثقافي، وتحظى بدعم ورعاية صاحب السمو الشيخ الدكتور سلطان بن محمد القاسمي، عضو المجلس الأعلى حاكم الشارقة، انطلاقاً من إيمان سموّه بأهمية تشجيع المواهب والمهارات لدى الشباب واليافعين وتقديرها، ومكافأة الموهوبين منهم، وحرص سموّه على جعل إمارة الشارقة بيئة حاضنة تمكِّنهم من اكتشاف مواهبهم وتطويرها، وفي الوقت ذاته، تغرس في نفوسهم روح التحدّي والثقة بالنفس وتحمّل المسؤولية، وترسّخ ثقافة العطاء والتطوُّع ومفاهيم التسامح والتعاون.
ورحّبت عزيزة ابراهيم المازمي، مدير مكتب جائزة الشيخ سلطان لطاقات الشباب، بالإقبال المتميز على المشاركة في هذه النسخة من الجائزة بجميع مستوياتها ومجالاتها التي تغطي جوانب مهمة في خدمة المجتمع، وتعكس أهمية الدور الذي يلعبه الشباب في دعم استقرار المجتمع والحفاظ على قيمه ومكاسبه، والمساهمة الفاعلة في بناء مستقبل الوطن.
وأوضحت أن هذه المشاركة جاءت ثمرة الجهود الحثيثة التي بذلها القائمون على الجائزة من أجل استقطاب أوسع شريحة ممكنة من أفراد المجتمع، وضمان شمول فرصها للجميع، حيث تضمنت هذه الجهود جولات استهدفت طلبة المدارس الحكومية والخاصة في شتّى إمارات الدولة، وجميع النوادي الثقافية والرياضية في الشارقة والمنطقة الوسطى بهدف التعريف بالجائزة وأهدافها والتشجيع على المشاركة فيها.
وتهدف “جائزة الشيخ سلطان لطاقات الشباب”، التي أطلقها صاحب السمو حاكم الشارقة في عام 2019، إلى صقل المواهب والمهارات، وتعزيز الإرادة والشغف لدى اليافعين والشباب في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة عبر تشجعيهم على خوض تحديات في مجالات غير أكاديمية تشمل المغامرة والتطوُّع والمهارات والأنشطة البدنية. وتفتح الجائزة الباب أمام الشباب والشابات من عمر 13 حتى 18 عاماً؛ للمشاركة واجتياز تحدِّيات الجائزة وفق ثلاثة مستويات: البرونزي والفضي والذهبي.

939 Applications Received for the Fourth Edition of the Sheikh Sultan Award for Celebrating the Spirit of Youth
Sharjah, 14 June 2024: The Sheikh Sultan Award for Celebrating the Spirit of Youth has received a record-breaking 939 applications for its fourth edition in 2024, attracting passionate talented youth from across the UAE. The application period closed on May 1, moving into the evaluation phase based on the award’s criteria and conditions.
The Sheikh Sultan Award for Celebrating the Spirit of Youth is the first of its kind in the Arab world in terms of its social impact. It is supported and patronised by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, reflecting his belief in encouraging and appreciating talent while rewarding those who are talented.
His Highness is keen on making the Emirate of Sharjah an incubator that enables youth to discover and develop their talents, instilling in them a spirit of growth, self-confidence, and responsibility; consolidating the culture of giving, volunteering, and the concepts of tolerance and cooperation.
Aziza Ibrahim Al Maazmi, Director of the Sheikh Sultan Award for Celebrating the Spirit of Youth Office, welcomed the outstanding turnout for this edition of the award across all levels and fields, which cover important aspects of community service. She highlighted the importance of the role played by youth in supporting community stability, preserving its values and gains, and contributing effectively to building the nation’s future.
She explained that this participation is a result of the tireless efforts invested by the award’s organisers to attract the widest possible segment of community members, ensuring inclusivity. These efforts included tours to schools and sports clubs across various emirates of the country and aimed to introduce the award and its objectives while encouraging participation.
Launched in 2019 by the Ruler of Sharjah, the Sheikh Sultan Award for Celebrating the Spirit of Youth aims to hone the talents and passions of UAE youth by encouraging them to tackle challenges in adventure, volunteering, skills, fitness and well-being. The award opens the door for youth aged 13 to 18 years to participate and is categorised based on three levels: bronze, silver, and gold.
